Discover insights into Inuit culture during a memorable experience led by a local storyteller. Meet your guide and transfer by motor coach to a local village where you will meet your hosts and gain insight into local Greenlandic life.  Step inside a wooden tent, modeled after the traditional sealskin tents that once served as summer homes for the Inuit people in Greenland. Inuit women prepared for months of nomadic life filled with stories, new friendships and plentiful food as they crafted these tents throughout the winter in their stone-and-earth huts. Inside the tent, a storyteller will share tales of Inuit culture by the light of a traditional train-oil lamp. As the stories conclude, stay and relax in the warm atmosphere of the wooden tent while enjoying coffee, tea and a slice of traditional Greenlandic cake. Afterward, return to your awaiting ship.

Set sail into the Nuuk Fjord to fish and return to shore to enjoy your catch, prepared by a chef. Embark your boat and head out toward Qooqqut, a remote haven and home to Qooqqut Nuan—a local restaurant. Along the way, you will drop anchor to try your hand at fishing. Arrive back to shore where your prized catch will be whisked away to the kitchen and you will have time to take a leisurely stroll along the pathway, enveloped by dramatic landscapes. Your talented chef will prepare your meal, complemented by homegrown herbs and vegetables. If luck was not on your side today, your chef will prepare an alternative dish, featuring the perfect blend of Asian and European flavors. See the city sights of Nuuk in an off-road UTV, stopping at historical and cultural landmarks. In a Utility Terrain Vehicle, you will journey through the heart of Nuuk, pausing to see some of the city’s main sights. See the Church of Our Savior and the Jonathan Petersen statue; view the cemetery and pause at various viewing points to capture photos over the scenic fjord. After your ride, you will head to the shores of the fjord to the Inuk Hostels where you will enjoy a taste of Greenlandic food with stunning views. Here, you will sit back and relax while your freshly prepared burger is prepared, grilled and cooked to perfection (vegetarian options also available). Your appetite sated, you will return to your ship.

Take to the skies on a scenic flight by helicopter over the picturesque fjords of Nuuk. Transfer to the airport and meet your pilot, then after a short safety briefing, you will sit back and relax as you take off toward the Sermitsiaq mountain plateau. Your helicopter will land and you will enjoy a stop to admire the breathtaking views over the wild mountains and fjords of Nuuk. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of your surroundings and the beauty of the landscape, with time for photos, before reboarding your helicopter for the return flight.
